You have to be organised when you're setting up an exhibition, but your contractor has to be even more organised than you are if they’re going to make your life easier. They should be coming to you armed with deadlines and milestones to ensure you're both on track to deliver a great stand.
They have to be able to visualise what you want your exhibition stand to look like. It’s a skill that some people just don’t have. Maybe set them a little concept challenge to check that you speak the same language before you delve any deeper.
Attention to detail
Being able to spot a problem that you haven't seen and call you out on it is another trait of a great exhibition contractor. You might think you have all the answers but a good contractor will point out things that won’t work, even if you haven’t asked them to.
This is possibly the most important trait for your contractor to have. The more they care about your brand, the more likely they are to do a great job. Simple as that.
